The CDCR Rehabilitation Center is inhabited by nearly 92,900 inmates who are either civil addicts (drug offenders) or felony offenders. Helpful programs like the Disability Placement Program and Developmental Disability Program are also operated by the CDCR. This system is characterized by a secure and visitor-friendly atmosphere in the correctional facilities of the state.

Services for Juvenile Inmates

The main office of the Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is located in Sacramento. The Division is comprised of seven units, including reception centers and clinics, community correction centers, youth conservation camps, and other parole services. The youths in these facilities may be placed in diagnostic assistance, educational services, sex offender treatment programs, mental health observation, public service program, and other necessary treatments. The youths in these camps are also placed in conservation training programs such as fire extinguishing and flood control in addition to the other educational support they receive. The major focus in these camps is on the employability skills of these inmates, and therefore their projects are carefully examined. The youths are also given high school educations. Benefits like separate rooms, substance abuse treatment programs, counseling regimes, free venture programs, and many other aids form the schedules for the youths in these units.
