Connecticut City Arrest Records

The crime analysis unit provides various computational and analytical services to the Connecticut State Police Department, the Connecticut Department of Public Safety, Connecticut municipal police departments, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the media and other consumers of Connecticut crime and traffic statistics.

The unit deals with crime analysis and oversees several state mandated programs, which include the National Incident Based Reporting Program or the NIBRS, the Uniform Crime Reporting or the UCR, the Connecticut Family Violence Reporting Program, and the Connecticut Bias Crime Reporting Program.

In addition to these compulsory programs, the Crime Analysis Unit maintains statistical data on traffic events, vehicle enforcement and accidents, and records related to arrests. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation of the State Police of Connecticut consists of the following units:

The chief task of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations is to perform special department investigations in the area of organized crime, narcotics, auto theft, firearm trafficking, extradition, electronic surveillance and gang activity.

In addition to this the Bureau acts as liaison with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies as well as the office of the chief state’s attorney, attorney general’s office and state and local government officials.
