The U.S. First Circuit Court of Appeals
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit is the appellate court which hears all federal appeals from within its district. It is located at 1 Courthouse Way, Boston, MA 02212, and can be reached by phone at 617-748-9057. Its main webpage is found at http://www.ca1.uscourts.gov/.
Cases are heard at the Boston courthouse location for one week periods during most months. Judges also hear cases for a week in the months of March and November at the Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. There is currently one chief judge, four circuit judges and three senior circuit judges.

Jurisdiction
The First Circuit Court of Appeals exercises jurisdiction over appellate cases from the District of Maine, District of Massachusetts, District of New Hampshire, District of Puerto Rico and District of Rhode Island. Should any federal case decided at one of these district courts file for an appeal, the U.S. First Circuit Court of Appeals will hear the case.
