Franklin County Court Information and Location
Franklin County is the second largest county in Ohio. The county seat is Columbus. The county courts in Franklin County are Court of Common Pleas, Franklin County Municipal Court and the Tenth District Court of Appeals.
Tenth District Court of Appeals
The Tenth District Court of Appeals hears civil as well as criminal appeals and reviews cases and appeals arising from the trial courts as well as from the Court of Common Pleas in Franklin County and the Franklin Municipal Court.
The Tenth District Court of Appeals is made up of eight judges who are elected by the voters of Franklin County. The judges sit on a panel of three members to hear and review cases dealing with civil and criminal appeals.

Court of Common Pleas in Franklin County
The Court of Common Pleas in Franklin County has two divisions. These are:
· The General Division
· Domestic Division and Juvenile Branch
General Division of the Court of Common Pleas in Franklin County
The General Division of the Court of Common Pleas in Franklin County exercises original jurisdiction over all matters dealing with civil cases and felony cases that attract a penalty amount or deal with an issue in dispute in which the amount is more than $15,000. The services offered by the General Division of the Franklin court of Common pleas help in performing general court operations. These services include:

Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Domestic Division and Juvenile Branch
This division hears cases dealing with dissolution of marriage, divorce cases, or cases dealing with legal separation and annulment, domestic violation cases, cases pertaining to the negligence and abuse of juveniles, as well as cases dealing with child visitation rights, paternity, child support, custody cases and juvenile delinquency cases.
