Conduct a Kentucky Background Check
The courts of the state of Kentucky issue criminal background reports to government bodies, businesses, individuals and licensed agencies at a very nominal rate. A copy of the records can be obtained from the administrative office of the courts.
The records are generated from CourtNet. CourtNet is the vault of all the information from the courts which operate locally, i.e. district courts from the 120 counties in the state of Kentucky are submitted to this database. As per the recent statistics, CourtNet holds a database which amounts to more than 4 million records, consisting of all the traffic and misdemeanor cases as well as the felonies - some of which date back to 1978.
You can make a call from Monday to Friday within the business hours from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm at the numbers 800-928-6381 or 502-573-1682. The department is closed on weekends and holidays. You can also access it online through http://courts.ky.gov/.

With the new process, you can submit your requests for obtaining a criminal record report and in turn you will receive a notification through email stating when the reports would be available for access. You can log on to the system from the website http://kcoj.kycourts.net/PublicMenu/Default.aspx?header=AOC+FastCheck.
Payment Gateway Options
If you want to request a background check through AOCFastCheck, then you will have to pay the required fee by cash, money order, check or card. The payment needs to be made to the Treasurer of the State of Kentucky. If you are paying the fee in cash then you will have to pay the exact amount.
Obtaining a Background Check Report
To obtain a criminal background check report, you will first have to fill out a form as per the given guidelines. You can mail in your order and it should contain the request form with the requisite fee in the form of a check or money order, payable to the Treasurer of the State of Kentucky. These requests are generally done on the day they are received by the department. However, the return time can get extended on the basis of the mail received by the AOC.
You can also obtain your order for the criminal background check report by visiting the office of the AOC. The request form must be filled out as per the instructions provided with it. The exact fee may be payed in cash; if the payment is via a money order or demand draft, then it must be payable to the Treasurer of the State of Kentucky.
If you place your request onsite, then it can be picked up by the department on the same day the order has been placed. Just remember the request can be delayed if the request volume is too high.
You can also access the AOC’s prepaid account service to get your order processed. For every request of a background check, the processing fees get deducted from your account. You will receive the service on the same day on which the request has been made unless it gets delayed by a problem in the system.
