Oklahoma Court Dockets
A formal schedule of court hearings is known as a court docket. Civil laws call for the record of court events “on the docket.” The state of Oklahoma boasts one of the most extensive databases of court dockets online. The introduction of this system has been prompted by the state’s initiative to keep up a database of court dockets for immediate reference. The Oklahoma court dockets are maintained by the Oklahoma State Courts Network and features the records from 13 of the total 77 counties in the state. The information is authentic and is updated on a regular basis by the clerks of the court.
How To Perform an Oklahoma Court Dockets Search
Court dockets can be searched by visiting http://www.oscn.net/applications/oscn/start.asp?viewType=DOCKETS. The search on the database can be made in two different ways. You can either type a search with the name of the contending parties or by the case number. A search conducted with the help of the case number is likely to yield precise results.
When you visit the website mentioned above you will find the space for making a docket search on the upper left hand side of the webpage. Fill out the spaces with the required parameters such as the Case Number. You have to enter the case in the format CM (case type) followed by year and the specific case number. The next step requires you to fill out the county in which the case was filed and press enter or click on the option GO.
You can also search for Oklahoma Court Dockets by name or any other relevant information. Visit the court dockets webpage and then click on the option titled Search Dockets. You need to enter the name of the county court in the field marked Database. The name of the person who is a party to the case needs to be filled out as well.
If you are searching for court dockets involving businesses, you can find what you are looking for on the same page. Click on the option of Search by Party. The search may be based on the citation number, location, date of birth, or by any kind of identification number like the Department of Corrections Inmate number, Social Security Number, Oklahoma offender Tracking Number, driver license or even bar license number. Choose the All Parties option to get maximum search results. You can type in the name of the concerned business in the Last Name space.
An Oklahma court dockets search may be confusing if done by name. There may be individuals or even businesses with same names. To facilitate a smooth search, you may use a couple of wild card characters. These include “_” and “%”. While the latter can be used to search for individuals or businesses with the same name, the former is used as a replacement for a particular character.
Searching Oklahoma Appellate Court Dockets
Court dockets pertaining to appellate court cases can be searched in the same manner as a lower court docket. You need to know the case type, the year of its filing and the case number. Traffic citation number can also be used to search Oklahoma court dockets. However, it is only applicable for cases in which tickets have been issued by the office of the county sheriff or the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The records do not take municipal tickets into consideration. To conduct your search you can visit http://www.oscn.net/applications/oscn/casesearch.asp.
