Pasco County Court Information

The judicial functions and duties of the Pasco County Court are the responsibility of the Pasco County Clerk of Court. It is a general jurisdiction court of the county and hears different types of cases including civil, criminal, probate, juvenile, family matters and so on.

Pasco Court is divided into a number of sub-sections for better dissemination of judicial duties. The Civil Department operating under the court takes up civil cases where the amount in controversy is between $5,000 and $15,000. The civil cases under the jurisdiction of this court include foreclosure, breach of contract, product liability, auto negligence, miscellaneous writs, landlord/tenant eviction cases, and such others.

Traffic Violations Bureau: This section deals with all civil and criminal traffic violations in the county. It is also responsible for the collection of fines, assistance in driver improvement programs, and arranging for court dates in case of contest of an infraction violation.
