The census records are one of the most frequently viewed public records in the United States. A census analysis can be generated in several types of fields. The United States Constitution has mandated the United States Census as a decennial census which means, the census of this nation is projected in every 10 years. The last census research of USA was done in 2000 and the recent one is scheduled to be held in 2010.
Census Records: An Introduction
The census is conducted by the United States Census Bureau. Between the decennial census periods this body issues estimates taken from various statistical models and surveys. These studies are based on residential structures of US which comprises citizens, non-citizens visitors for long-term basis, legal non-citizen residents as well as illegal immigrants.
The basic purpose of creating these public census records is to retrieve information regarding the general statistics. There are four census regions in the political division of United States identified by the bureau namely-
• Region 1- Northeast
• Region 2- Midwest
• Region 3- South
• Region 4- West
These regions are further branched into nine subdivisions. These groupings are made for facilitating census data presentation in the United States. No subdivisions are created according to cultural, geographical or historical bonds. Recently the Census Bureau is ranking the states in the qualitative form which is basically based on the quantitative data. This is done for a better data interpretation.
