In the recent technology market Verizon is known to be a ruler who can divide voice calls into packets of data and send them over high-speed Internet filing system. This service is and will always be cheaper since the person selling this service will not pay typical access charges as is done in case of normal telephone transmission. This was started by them in the year 2009. Most of the competitors in the market will be reluctant to offer this service over Internet since that would hamper their normal business of connecting calls over telephone. They also have arguments in this regard like the call over Internet can be inferior in quality and will be Less reliable than the traditional calling system over phone.
The target set by Verizon is to capture the countrywide consumers especially for ten million homes and families where they can make their recent technology work even without high-speed Internet connection. Customers who subscribe for this service have to pay a minimum monthly amount for unlimited local and long-distance calls within the country. This technology is cheaper by $25 than the tradition system of calling over telephone for every month.
