Accessing Case Records and Information

In recent years, the Waukesha Court has made efforts to give the public access to the records and information of the cases that have been tried at the court. You may now obtain copies of transcripts or court files, view online records, view a court file in person, and view or obtain off-site records and files. You have to pay a nominal amount to access these records. Requests to access juvenile records must be reviewed and approved by the Juvenile Court judge.

To acquire physical copies of a court case or view a court file in person, you will have to get in touch with the official court reporter for the Court Official who presided over the specific hearing. To view an online record, you may use the public access computers housed at the Civil, Criminal/Traffic, Family, and Probate divisions of the court. Information on sealed, expunged, and pre-judgment paternity cases are not available online.
