Macomb County Circuit Court
The circuit court in Macomb County is located in Mt. Clemens in the State of Michigan. The circuit court exercises jurisdiction over all civil cases that deal with claims exceeding $25,000. It hears cases pertaining to domestic relations, parties looking for equitable relief, serious misdemeanor cases and cases dealing with criminal felonies. Apart from these, the circuit court also exercises jurisdiction over case hearings and appeals from the administrative agencies and the district courts.

Macomb County District Court
In Macomb County, the district courts exercise jurisdiction over all civil litigation cases involving any amount up to $25,000, along with infraction cases dealing with civil matters, forfeitures of land contract cases, and proceedings involving eviction cases. In matters concerning criminal cases, the district courts in Macomb County can conduct examinations on misdemeanor cases and felony charges that do not attract a penalty of more than one year in prison. These include acceptance of bails, sentencing issues, and arraignment.
District Judges
The judges of the district courts appoint magistrates who accept bonds, set bails on matters relating to the criminal cases, issue sentences for motor carrier and traffic cases, game cases and rights regarding pets, hear cases on the violation of laws dealing with boats and and snowmobiles, and also issue search warrants and issue arrests. The district courts also have a division for small claims that deals with civil cases that attract a penalty up to $ 3,000.

Friend of the Court in Macomb County
The Friend of the Court in Macomb County, Michigan helps the court to enforce orders dealing with issues such as health care, spousal support, custody and parenting issues. This division will also help to evaluate and to investigate or make recommendations about any issues pertaining to domestic relation matters which are being contested, and provide an alternative solution to the parties involved to resolve court litigation.
