Utah Sex Offender Regulations
According to Utah State law (77-27-21.5), the Department of Corrections in Utah is responsible to develop and maintain a registry of offenders who have been convicted of certain sexual offenses. Apart from registering sexual offenses, this department also maintains a registry of offenders convicted of offenses dealing with abduction cases. Some of the offenses listed under 77-27-21.5 (1) (g) or (n) of the Utah State statute are:
• Abduction cases under 76-5-301
• Abduction of Children 76-5-301.1
• Voyeurism 76-9-702.7
• Child kidnapping: 76-5-301.1
• Enticing a minor over the Internet: 76-4-401
• Illegal sexual activity with a minor: 76-5-401
• Sexual abuse of a minor: 76-5-401.1
• Unlawful sexual conduct with a 16 or 17 year old: 76-5-401.2
• Forcible sodomy: 76-5-403
• Rape: 76-5-402
• Sodomy on a child: 76-5-403.1
• Forcible sexual abuse: 76-5-404
• Incest: 76-7-102
• Lewdness involving a child: 76-9-702.5
Apart from these offenses, individuals who have committed a sexual offense in Utah but are in the state hospital on grounds of mental illness also require to register themselves with the designated law enforcement unit of the Utah State.

Contents of Sex Offender Registration Form
The Utah State laws require sex offenders who are convicted of sexual offenses, offenders who are on probation or have been released from incarceration to register themselves with the designated law enforcement agencies of the Utah State and report to them on a yearly basis as well as report changes of their residency status or change of location.
The sex offender registration form contains information about the name, date of birth, age, sex, race, height, eye color, weight, hair color, level of education, employment status and address, residential address, vehicle owned, model of the vehicle, license number, registration number and the state which approved the registration, arresting agency, date of conviction, sentencing court, description of each crime committed, and information about the victim if available.
The state of Utah does not release the addresses of all the sex offenders. It only releases the addresses of those sex offenders who may come in direct contact with minors.

In addition the Department of Corrections in Utah State runs a community program called OffenderWatch which allows the citizen to subscribe the addresses of their homes, school, office, recreational place and daycare center.
