Vermont Sex Offender Laws

A Vermont sex offender is booked under 13VSA, Chapter 167, Subchapter 3. The law was put into effect from 1996 onwards and this led to the creation of the Vermont Sex Offender Registry as part of the Vermont Criminal Information Center or the VCIC. Vermont Sex Offender Registration

A Vermont sex offender needs to register himself/herself with the Department of Public Safety in the state. Registration is mandatory if the person has charges like sexual abuse of a susceptible adult, kidnapping with the intention of sexual assault, lascivious and lewd conduct, two or more convictions for voyeurism and aggravated sexual assault against his name. Vermont Sex Offender Information
